• Senior Sterile Processing Technician

    Description

    The Instrument Service Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that each surgical procedure has complete, accurate and on-time sterile instrumentation. Works with Sterile Processing, Operating Room, and Surgery Scheduling staff to plan in advance for scheduled surgeries.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Completion of a Central Service Technician course or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Course or equivalent OR experience required

    + Upon Hire:

    + National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association --or--

    + National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

    + 3 years - Recent experience in a Sterile Processing Department OR recent instrument-related experience in an Operating Room environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in a large multi-specialty facility with more than 12 operating rooms

    + Prior experience working with an instrument tracking system, such as InstaCount Plus and ESI
