Position Overview: The Front Desk Coordinator manages the fast-pace, busy lobby and reception area. The coordinator is responsible for greeting and directing all visitors, including vendor, clients, consumers and job candidates. The Coordinator must ensure compliance of building security and adhere to the sign-in and security procedures. The Coordinator will be responsible for answering a multi-line switchboard and connecting callers with the appropriate department or resource. The coordinator will handle administrative tasks, calendar management, mass mailings and accept company deliveries. Additional responsibilities include identifying individual's needs and guiding them in the right direction.
Position Responsibilities: Communicates regularly with manager and department concerning any issues or changes. Answers phone in courteous and professional manner. Provides individuals with information requested or refers individuals to the appropriate program or employee. Transfer callers or messages to voicemail if an employee is unavailable. Responsible for maintaining a knowledge of all agency employees, phone extensions, and program information.
Qualifications: *Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required*Minimum of two (2) years of recent, relevant experience in a fast-pace front desk or reception role required*Previous work experience working with elder issues as well as adults with disabilities preferred*Must possess a proactive, intuitive, patient and professional demeanor*Bilingual Spanish preferred*Ability to process information accurately and to make appropriate decisions based on the specific situation and circumstances*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team*Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information and documents with discretion and according to GLSS policy and HIPAA guidelines
Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
