    Position Description:

    The IT Support Technician II's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware and software relevant to the department or unit.     Major/Essential Functions:

    + Provides technical support to end users, troubleshoots customer and user issues, and/or guides them through specific tasks and action through interaction with customer by phone or in-person

    + Responsible to complete end-user ticket requests by using TTUHSC El Paso ticketing system

    + Serves as liaison between helpdesk and other IT areas by engaging the next level of support personnel when applicable

    + Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripheral devices

    + Demonstrate moderate knowledge of PC hardware components and their configuration

    + Provide technical support for Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and macOS, including driver installation and compatibility troubleshooting

    + Support and maintain peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, and external storage devices.

    + Maintain moderate proficiency in commonly used software applications, including antivirus programs, email clients, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe products

    + Follow technical instructions accurately and complete tasks with minimal supervision

    + Perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

    + Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to staff and non-technical users, both verbally and in writing

    + Manage workload efficiently and adjust priorities to meet shifting demands and organizational goals

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    + Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position

    + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures, and processes

    + Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values ( Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork)

    Required Qualifications:
