Summary You will serve as the Branch Head for the Trident Platform Allowance Branch at NAVSUP Weapons System Support. You will be part of the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Division who is charged with supporting the Naval Nuclear Deterrence Mission and the Trident Weapons System on behalf of Strategic Systems Programs. This is your opportunity to be part of the team tasked with supporting the Navy's highest priority operational weapons system. Responsibilities You will serve as Branch Head of the Trident Platform Allowance Branch in the strategic Weapons System Division providing technical key expert advice for the NAVSUP command, and SSP on logistical issues participating and conducting special projects. You will develop and execute functions within the division and often contributes to such efforts within the department and the group. You will direct and manage the development of the TLL budget to cover the cost of material required for operating stock and planned programs for procurement and repair. You will communicate and coordinate efforts with other organizations on fiscal and technical issues for integrated logistics programs to resolve issues of funding, workload, or interrelationships. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding integrated logistics support (ILS) concepts, policies, procedures, and techniques and their application to weapon system acquisition, management and sustainment; 2) Using logistical support analysis theories and procedures for analytical data collection, interpretation, and evaluating different sources; 3) evaluating information and recommending appropriate actions to enhance responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness of programs, and they relate to the Navy; 4) Utilizing principles, regulations, and practices relating to inventory management activities such as computation of requirements, movement and distribution of items and interrelationships between disciplines; to plan, organize, coordinate, delegate, and interpret various policies, instructions, and directives to support configuration and authorized material onboard in support of the Trident submarine mission of Strategic Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
