A **Sr Tubefitter \- Lead,** under the direction of a Production Supervisor, leads and directs tubefitting job duties/work activities\. **_Responsibilities_**

Layout and route mechanical piping systems; make mock up of systems; pressure test systems, must be familiar with installation of marine and air craft type fitting; install pumps, models, valves and pressure switches\.Job duties involve tubing identification, holes, label plate installation, drill penetration, piping and testing\.Typical tools used in the performance of job duties include open\-ended wrenches and sockets\.May perform work from Engineering drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions\.Reading from computer screens to retrieve work instructions, blueprints or other documentsMay direct the work activities or tasks of other employees\.Maintain records, forms, and logs as required\.Performs other related duties as assigned by management\.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED coupled with formal marine tubefitting training and/or experience\.

Five \(5\) plus years of progressively responsible tubefitting experience in a marine manufacturing environment\.Proven or demonstrated high level of competence in the marine vehicle\.Demonstrated exemplary characteristics in the areas of ethics, attendance and adherence to policies, procedures and rules\.Basic math skills\.Ability to read a tape measure\.Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with and/or lead a diverse team\.Proven proficiency in MS software specifically, Outlook, Excel and Word\.Ability to work any shift assigned\.Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification\.Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to understand people\-related issues, provide counsel and partner with HR and supervisors
