    Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Responsible for the administration and effective management of the MCCS Corporate Sales/Sponsorship program at multiple installations, including but not limited to planning, organizing, contracting, administering, and monitoring of the program. Develops a diversified commercial sponsorship/advertising business development plan for complex agreements as designated by the Corporate Sales Manager and executes all tasks in support and in alignment with the Corporate Sales Manager¿s vision and departmental goals. This position will be based out of the Camp Pendleton Marketing office but will require travel to MCAS Yuma and MCLB Barstow on a bi-monthly basis and/or as needed. Overnight travel will be required. Attends MCCS events where sponsors are present to ensure on-site fulfillment of agreement deliverables. This position will be responsible for engaging with community organizations, such as local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, and business development organizations, to expand new sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Develops, negotiates, plans, coordinates, implements, and manages comprehensive timelines, proposals, reports, briefs, and invoice tracking. Analyzes sales data and develops plans to address performance gaps. Monitors competition, economic indicators, and industry trends. Develops sales strategies to acquire new customers or clients. Solicits sponsorship through advertisements, letters, and personal contacts. Develops collateral materials in support of the solicitation. Develops proposal packages and negotiates best terms for Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Coordinates staff actions with the appropriate agencies, such as legal counsel. Ensures the development and completion of evaluation/follow-up reports. Spearheads after action event reports and recaps for all sponsorship clients. Builds and maintains client relationships through consistent communication and superb customer service. Advances one¿s own professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and other educational trainings, participating in professional societies and industry networks, and reading professional and industry publications. Plans and organizes work and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Responsible for entering data and producing a variety of marketing and sales reports. Assists with various marketing clerical and administrative tasks as assigned. Assists with special events as needed. Supports the Corporate Sales Manager in the development, implementation and follow up on any additional marketing needs, including creating supplementary marketing documentation (reports, timelines, project overviews/status documents, etc.) as assigned. Assists with social media efforts including content creation and social community support for promotion of events and day-of events activities. Provides extraordinary World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. This is a no-commission sales position. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Four years of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above OR a combination of education in Business, Advertising, Marketing, or related field appropriate to work of the position and at least 2 years professional experience. Must demonstrate the ability to research companies for commercial sponsorship, identify key personnel to contact, and negotiate terms of a contract. Overall experience must include a demonstrated track record of sales experience that illustrates success in meeting/exceeding goals as an individual contributor. Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements and return on investment for companies. Must have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship/advertising sales and business development strategies, negotiate contracts and to write after action reports. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must be knowledgeable of social media platforms and must demonstrate knowledge and application of marketing strategy, planning, budgeting, advertising, and promotions. Ability to juggle multiple projects and work assignments with grace under pressure. Ability to positively interact with various internal and external clients, vendors, and departments. Occasional weekend and evening hours are required.
