Sr Manager E2E Supply Network – Indianola, PA
PURPOSE
This roles sits at the intersection of PS Product and Pharma customer teams, overseeing end-to-end (E2E) supply management to achieve both short to long-term business outcomes in alignment with PS Product Team. The incumbent delivers an integrated E2E supply plans that ensures a reliable patient supply, cost efficiency, and optimal inventory through product lifecycle. With expertise in E2E supply network management, a strategic mindset, entrepreneurial thinking, excellent cross-functional leadership, the incumbent monitors supply operations and conducts both tactical and strategic supply planning. The role actively evolves the operating model and fosters successful adoption of DSO including directing resources to highest-impact priorities.
As "work leader," the incumbent provides inspirational leadership to the Planning Team/s steering high complexity E2E supply chain network/s with high business impact and composed of different capabilities deployed from global locations and diverse cultural backgrounds. It guides the teams in defining the outcomes to deliver on the mission, removes roadblocks to facilitate collaboration and shape a system that unleashes the passion and energy of a team to creates value for customers and stakeholders with optimal resource use. The incumbent also assist HOME leads in Capacity & Capability requirements, Performance Calibration/Talent Pool Management; supporting the employee development, team activities, transition workshops and workforce diversity.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will focus on one or several impactful task during possible deployments in work areas.
+ Develop and execute supply network strategies, aligning with product strategy and commercial business models;
+ Oversee long term supply planning (LTSP) integrating commercial strategic business review and pipeline scenarios, including capex and sourcing decisions;
+ Empower the team to develop feasible Master Supply Plans that achieve service levels, inventory targets, including "what-if" scenarios and decision framing;
+ Oversee execution of S&OP, review of KPIs and facilitate discussions and trade-off in Product and Customer teams;
+ Oversight on key SCM activities, including bridging stocks, Contracts, CMO/alliance partner governance, ERM among others;
+ Oversee design and implementation of supply chain for late-stage developmental products;
+ Lead by example in applying supply chain standards, best practices, and master data reviews to foster continuous improvement and consistency in planning results;
+ Engage with GPEs, GPLs and SMEs to ensure timely provision of tools, systems, processes and reports critical to achieve business outcomes;
+ Empower the bottleneck task force, including the guidance to mitigate shortages and restore stock levels;
+ Empower planning team members to incorporate SCM considerations into launch, tech transfers, divestments, other projects, operational excellence and innovation initiatives;
+ Assess capabilities mix and collaborate with home cluster leads for timely deployment, ensuring the highest impact on business outcomes;
+ Build to be a high-performing planning team through mentorship, functional coaching, seamless collaboration and clear accountability;
+ Foster an inclusive culture where individuals feel empowered, valued, recognized, supported, and receive constructive feedback;
+ SCM partner for strategic brand and portfolio communication with internal and external partners, fostering collaboration;
+ The incumbent is possibly deployed to following one or more work roles;
+ Planning Team Lead (work leader);
+ E2E Planner ;
+ Leader of strategic projects/initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ University degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, economics or an equivalent qualification. MBA or Master's degree is a plus;
+ Multi-years strong experience in a complex Supply Chain environment, Procurement, Quality, Operations as individual contributor/Manager in Life Sciences or FMCG industry;
+ Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain areas; forecasting, production, inventory management, supply planning, sales & operations planning and logistics;
+ A deep understanding of product lifecycle events, legal, regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP, GDP practices) and their influence on SCM to ensure complianc;.
+ Proficiency in planning and reporting system systems such as SAP (ERP, APO, H2R), OMP;
+ Proven agility to connect the dots and develop future business plans;
+ Highly proficient in conveying complex topics to diverse stakeholders;
+ Proven success in high-stakes negotiations and conflict resolution;
+ Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationship and influence stakeholders in an complex environment;
+ Leverages financial insights and business acumen across all decisions to create sustainable value for customers;
+ Leverages strong critical thinking, advanced data analytics and AI to solve complex SCM problems and take informed risks;
+ Data driven mindset with strong analytical skills for quantitative problem-solving, paired with high attention to detail;
+ Demonstrates strong decision-making skills when navigating uncertainty and ambiguity;
+ Strong interpersonal skills to lead organization effectively through change initiatives in product supply;
+ Inspires & coaches team to unlock potential, foster creativity and adaptability in rapidly changing environment;
+ Champions DSO principles by fostering a culture of collaboration and shared accountability across cross-functional teams;
+ Independent and self starter with excellent organization skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
+ Demonstrated capability to understand and embrace cultural differences and leverages unique strengths of a diverse team to enhance performance;
+ Fluency in English. Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
