    We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Software Developer to lead the design and automation of our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves managing scalable deployments, optimizing performance and security, and assisting in migration of on-premises solutions. Candidates should have extensive experience in cloud environments, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and solid programming skills.     As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Software Developer, you will play a key role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will design and automate highly available cloud environments, enabling efficient application deployment for our development teams.

     

    Your responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to implement optimal cloud solutions while ensuring scalability and security. You will lead efforts to assist with migration of on-premises systems and enhance operational efficiency through automation.

    What you'll do...

     

    + Design, automate, and manage a highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure, enabling development teams to deploy services efficiently and with resilience.

    + Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and architecture teams to identify and implement optimal cloud solutions, emphasizing scalability, performance, and robust security measures.

    + Lead the migration of on-premises products to Cloud Native solutions, driving improvements in existing systems through extensive automation of deployments and management within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

    + Architect and maintain cloud solutions that adhere to industry best practices, ensuring that data storage and processing align with organizational security policies and compliance standards.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to devise advanced optimization strategies, develop self-healing capabilities, and enhance observability through metrics, logging, and tracing.

    You'll have…

    + A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing mid to large-scale public cloud environments, particularly within GCP.

    + At least 5 years of experience managing complex cloud enviornments.

    + Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, including advanced image building and deployment management with Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.

    + Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including the development of custom modules and providers.

    + In-depth familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools, such as Cloud Build, Tekton, or GitHub Actions, and strong experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.

    + Proficient in scripting and programming languages, particularly Python, Go, or Bash, with a solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud security principles.

    + Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    + Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Strong skills in scripting languages like Python or Go, along with problem-solving and communication abilities, are vital for success in this role.

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    + Experience in developing custom Terraform providers or plugins, particularly with a focus on Policy as Code and security automation.

    + Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer) that demonstrate your expertise (or equivalent experience).

    + Advanced GitHub and DevOps expertise, with specific experience using Tekton for CI/CD pipelines.

    + Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Node.js, showcasing versatility in software development.

    + Extensive knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and logging frameworks, with a focus on Grafana and Prometheus, and experience in implementing observability solutions.

    + Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, and a deep understanding of cloud security best practices.

    + A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking innovative solutions and enhancements in processes and technologies.
