Fairview is looking for an Education Coordinator to be based out of the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. This is a full time (1.0 FTE) benefit eligable position that is MOBILE, meaning that this role does have the ability to work from home, but also has an onsite work requirement.
This position has responsibility for coordination of undergraduate and graduate clinical education activities for Fairview Health Services Health system and works under the direction of the Education Manager. This position requires a solid understanding of academic hospital and outpatient clinic management to include, learner credentialing & onboarding, understanding of federal & state regulations specific to teaching institutions, hospital affiliations, accreditation and certification requirements for clinical learners.
Responsibilities
+ Key contact for learners participating in the clinical education program within Fairview, including onboarding, orientation, training, and any ongoing and day-to-day needs.
+ Assists with education-related process improvement projects, including clinical learning environment projects.
+ Coordinates clinical placement of learners
+ Assign onboarding to students assigned to clinical rotations within the health system
+ Oversees student compliance with onboarding, credentialing, & rotation tracking
+ Coordinates with internal stakeholders (security, IT) to ensure students are set up to complete hands-on experiences
+ Coordinates annual review of available placements within the system for assigned learner groups
+ Assists education manager with data collection and reporting.
+ Liaison with schools – main contact for assigned student group/programs
+ Liaison and collaborates with clinical sites/Managers/leaders for assigned student disciplines
+ Responsible for learner work environment
+ Assists with Daily Engagement system for medical education.
+ Manages clinical learner information and preceptor information within the designated Learning Management system
+ Assists clinical site and/or learners to resolve issues/incidents as they arise
+ Assists with federal and state regulatory/compliance requirements.
+ Participates in School advisory meetings
+ Works with key stakeholders to update their education materials and moves education modules to current system utilized for education modules.
+ Maintains & updates information on the education website
+ Partners with workforce on student pipeline strategies
+ Participates in service line meetings for assigned student disciplines representing medical education department
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Arts - OR - in lieu of BA 4 years of experience working in an academic hospital setting
+ 5 years healthcare-related experience
+ Computer software skills: Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master of Arts
+ 2 years working in a graduate medical education office or senior administrative level
+ Management in an equivalent joint commission accredited academic health care facility.

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
