As a Finance Manager, you will supervise and lead financial analysts, projects and programs and support personnel. This role is critical in helping Cleveland Clinic facilitate a comprehensive care model for patients, from financial support and insurance billing to the most innovative surgeries and treatments. Every act of service brings us one step closer to providing quality patient care to the United States and beyond.

     

    A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM. This position is a hybrid opportunity for candidates residing in the greater Northeast OH area.

    A caregiver who excels in this role will:

    + Lead projects and programs (revenue cycle management, financial planning and research).

    + Participate in the financial performance management initiatives in support of the Finance Director and leadership team.

    + Partner with the Finance Director in all financial matters and analyze business plans and initiatives.

    + Identify benchmarks in financial performance, hospital throughput, cost per case, length of stay and productivity metrics.

    + Assist in preparing financial presentations to review operating performance.

    + Assist the Finance Director in business operations, including financial reporting, billing and reimbursement, informatics and outside strategic business ventures.

    + Assist in developing financial strategic business plans and lead certain aspects of the plans.

    + Work with the Finance Director to prepare business review meetings and provide analysis and interpretation regarding business plans, new staff recruitment, variance analysis and fete requests.

    + Work with the revenue cycle staff to ensure maximum reimbursement and adherence to revenue cycle related policies.

    + Collaborate with the Finance Director on the outlook and annual budget cycle including budget spreads, budget reconciliation, capital budget, business plans and any other budget-related responsibilities.

    + Support the Finance Director with treasury and research budget preparation.

    Minimum qualifications for the ideal Finance Manager II candidate:

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + Five to six years of professional and functionally relevant experience inclusive of demonstrated project or people leadership.

    + Extensive experience and/or certifications may substitute the education requirement

    Minimum qualifications for the ideal Finance Manager III candidate:

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + Six years of functionally relevant professional experience inclusive of 2 years of managerial/supervisor experience.

    + In lieu of a degree, extensive experience and or certifications may be considered.

    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

    + Master's Degree

    + Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

    + Healthcare experience is strongly preferred

    + Strong technical skillset - SQL, Teradata, MS Excel (Advanced Level), Tableau, EPIC and Snowflake

    + Very strong critical thinking skillset, able to leverage data to identify trends.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

    + Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

    + Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

    + In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

    + In some locations ability to move up to 25

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

     

    Pay Range

     

    Minimum hourly: $33.46

     

    Maximum hourly: $51.03

     

    The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package, which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
