Your Role:

As a **Security Officer** , you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone in the hospital – from patients to staff to visitors. Your actions will have a direct impact on the safety of our community, ensuring that M Health Fairview continues to provide the high-quality care we’re known for.

What you’ll be doing:

+ **Safeguard the community** by patrolling designated areas and responding quickly to incidents, ensuring the security of patients, staff, and visitors.

+ **Prevent theft and vandalism** through proactive surveillance and reporting.

+ Use your **de-escalation skills** and **conflict resolution techniques** to handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm.

+ Respond to **high-risk situations** , all while staying focused on keeping the environment safe and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

+ **Document daily activities** accurately and professionally to keep everyone in the loop and ensure proper follow-up.

Schedule:

+ **1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)**

+ **Evening/Night shift** (7 PM - 730 AM)

+ **Every other weekend**

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

+ **Experience:** 2 years of security, customer service, or military experience OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of security/customer service experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

+ **License/Certification:** Valid Class D Driver’s License and a clean DMV record.

Preferred:

+ Previous **hospital security experience** .

+ Certifications like **Certified Peace Officer (POST)** or **Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B)** .
