    Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Architecting and implementing new features and optimizing existing products with a high degree of complexity.

    2. Leading and managing large-scope, technically complex projects, ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.

    3. Taking ownership of complex and ambiguous projects from inception to completion, developing solutions, and breaking them down into well-defined tasks.

    4. Solving intricate and high-impact problems, pushing code, and driving the development of the systems behind our products.

    5. Building, owning, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure that serves billions of users.

    6. Providing mentorship to engineers to help develop their technical skills and career growth.

    7. Developing a deep understanding of relevant product areas, codebases, and systems.

    8. Demonstrating advanced proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.

    9. Producing high-quality code with comprehensive test coverage, utilizing modern abstractions and frameworks.

    10. Setting and maintaining high standards for internal development practices, from development to code release.

    11. Actively seeking and providing feedback in alignment with the company Performance Philosophy.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    12. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or Foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field

    13. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

    14. 1. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Javascript

    15. 2. Python, PHP, or Haskell

    16. 3. Relational databases and SQL

    17. 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

    18. 5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands

    19. 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

    20. 7. Building highly-scalable performant solutions

    21. 8. Distributed systems including sharding, consistency, and availability

    22. 9. Algorithms

    23. 10. Data processing, programming languages, databases, computer networks, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction

    24. 11. Designing and completing medium to large software features independently without guidance and

    25. 12. Experience owning a particular software component, feature, or system.

    Public Compensation:

    $225,569/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
