Job overview and responsibilities
This leadership role is responsible for creating and executing the overall direction and implementation of United’s external strategy and community engagement work through United’s signature global and Chicago-based nonprofit partnership investments. This leader owns the strategy and implementation to place United leaders on nonprofit boards. Additionally, the role has responsibility for the measurement and analytics strategy for all community investments at a global and local level. The role also has oversight of United We Care and as such serves as the board chair for United’s employee relief fund.
+ Responsible for creating, owning, and continually adjusting United’s investments in global and national nonprofit partners. Captures best practices from other companies and industries to inform United’s nonprofit partnership and employee engagement strategy
+ Represents United externally with C-suite leaders at nonprofit partners in the Chicago market
+ Represents United at key in-market events and engagements in Chicago and other locations as needed, including representing United through speaking opportunities where applicable
+ Partners with key stakeholders across the HR organization to leverage United’s community investments to drive measurable employee pride
+ Partners across the enterprise with stakeholders from Marketing, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, Sales and other divisions to positively shape United’s perception with consumers and key external stakeholders
+ Provide oversight and guidance for external brand awareness work through key United partners by developing partnership strategies and programming
+ Develop clear objectives and engage with leaders across the company to drive a strong, positive community perception
+ Leverage partnerships to differentiate the United experience to win share of local customer base and to become employer of choice
+ Influence United officers and other senior leaders to meaningfully engage with nonprofit partners through board service and volunteerism to drive enterprise value from United’s nonprofit partnerships
+ Provides guidance and oversight for team’s analytical and measurement strategy
+ Partners closely with others to leverage key consumer and employee data sources to benchmark United against other airlines

The base pay range for this role is $155,895.00 to $212,410.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
