    Required Skills:

    Software Engineer (Systems) Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and execute software tests.

    2. Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run applications.

    3. Test system modifications.

    4. Build new software features and improve existing products.

    5. Work on problems of moderate scope.

    6. Push code, drive the development of the systems behind products.

    7. Create web applications that reach billions of people.

    8. Build high-volume servers.

    9. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.

    10. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering.

    11. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks.

    12. Follow internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    13. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted.

    14. Requires Completion of one undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:

    15. 1. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript

    16. 2. Python, PHP, or Haskell

    17. 3. Relational databases and SQL

    18. 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

    19. 5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and Shell Scripting

    20. 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

    21. 7. Building large scale infrastructure applications

    22. 8. Filesystems, server architectures, and distributed systems

    23. 9. Algorithms.

    Public Compensation:

    $182,002/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
