EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO OF THE MIT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, Alumni Association CEO, will provide high-level administrative and strategic support for the CEO of the MITAA, anticipating and initiating actions that require in-depth knowledge of the Alumni Association, the Institute, and other departments at MIT; exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing a wide range of complex tasks, communications, and relationships; as an ambassador for the MITAA, liaises with senior officers, academic leadership, colleagues, and external constituents; and collaborates with the Chief of Staff to extend the capacity of the CEO, playing a vital role in ensuring operational excellence, effective workflow, and follow through at the highest level.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school education or equivalent; a minimum of seven years of administrative, office, or related experience; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines; strong planning, problem-solving, time management, analytical, and decision-making skills; ability to work with confidential information; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to promote and foster a highly professional and welcoming office environment; attention to detail, resourcefulness, and reliability; ability to take initiative and anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, and opportunities for change; ability to work independently; and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) in a professional setting. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree; experience supporting senior leaders and working with volunteers in a university or non-profit setting; knowledge of Ellucian Advance Web or other enterprise fundraising systems; and MIT experience. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days (occasionally 5) of onsite work required, dependent on business needs.
