    Lockheed Martin Space seeks an experienced Proposal Writing Associate Manager to join our team in Highlands Ranch, CO \. As a leader of this team you will be responsible for leading the Capture Excellence proposal writing function, driving effective content development, and evolving our processes to leverage artificial intelligence \(AI\) tools\. As our Proposal Writing Associate Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve proposal quality, efficiency, and win rates\.

    Summary of Key Duties: In this role, you will…

    • Lead and manage a team of proposal writers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high\-quality proposal submissions

    • Develop and implement proposal writing strategies, processes, and best practices, such as incorporating AI tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness

    • Collaborate with cross\-functional teams, including business development, capture management, proposal management, and subject matter experts, to develop compelling proposal narratives and content

    • Analyze and interpret request for proposal \(RFP\) requirements, developing win themes, proposal outlines, and content to address customer needs and requirements

    • Personally participate as a proposal author on large, complex, or strategic competitive proposals as needed

    • Conduct quality reviews of proposal writing deliverables to ensure compliance with RFP requirements, company standards, and brand identity

    • Provide training and guidance on proposal writing best practices, AI tool integration, and company processes and procedures

     

    Although this position does support some teleworking, the selected candidate will be located near our Highlands Ranch, CO facility and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing, management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful proposal submissions

    • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposal narratives while building effective professional relationships with colleagues and internal customers

    • Experience with proposal development processes, including RFP analysis, outline development, and content creation

    • Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a TS/SCI government security clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • Master’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field

    • Experience with AI tools, including natural language processing, machine learning, and automation, and their application in proposal development

    • Experience with or certifications in Shipley & Associates or Association of Proposal Management Professionals \(APMP\) best practices

    • Experience working with Chicago Manual of Style editorial standards

    • Experience with content management systems, proposal automation tools, and other software applications related to proposal development

    • Experience in managing and leading cross\-functional teams, including proposal writers, subject matter experts, and business development professionals

    • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to interpret RFP requirements and develop effective proposal strategies

    • Strong people management, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines at once

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

    **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,400 \- $150,650\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

    **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\.

     

    \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.

     

    This position is incentive plan eligible\.
