Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as a **Learning Technology Specialist (LTS)** . This role involves supporting educators and administrators in leveraging technology to enhance student learning environments and innovate classroom instruction. A key focus will be the integration of cutting-edge educational technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as an **instructional technology expert** , demonstrating a deep understanding of innovative classroom instruction, guiding staff in integrating technology into the learning environment, and introducing high-value technology tools for both teachers and students.
+ **Utilize AI** to enhance learning experiences, personalize instruction, and improve student outcomes.
+ Collaborate with scholastic administration, curricular staff, LT team members, and educators to **develop and enhance instruction** , optimizing technology for improved learner outcomes.
+ Provide **professional development** and curricular support through group training, individual coaching, co-planning, and co-teaching.
+ Work with Information Technologies staff to **troubleshoot** hardware and software issues related to student and teacher instruction.
+ Stay current on **emerging technological educational practices** , software, and technology tools.
+ Evaluate and recommend **technology solutions** to support instructional goals.
Position Details:
+ Location: In-person role in Hershey, PA
+ Salary: $81,000 – $108,000 (based on experience) benefits
Qualifications
+ **Education:** Master’s degree in Education Technology, Instructional Technology, Education, or a related field.
+ **Experience:** At least 5 years of successful classroom instruction with effective technology integration.
+ **Preferred Experience:** Administrative or adult instructional experience is a plus.
+ **Technical Expertise:** Ability to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and train staff/students through user guides and tutorials.
+ **Software Proficiency:** Experience with Apple Devices, Canvas, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Clever, Student Information Systems, and other educational platforms.
+ **Technology Skills:** Proficiency with SmartBoards, iPads, MacBooks, common educational applications, and interactive technologies.
+ **Future-Ready Knowledge:** Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, AR, and VR.
+ **Team Focused:** Ability to work well within a team and a willingness to collaborate.
+ **Problem-Solving Ability:** Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
+ **Interpersonal Skills:** Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, engage, instruct, and positively influence others.
+ **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
+ **Organizational Skills:** Proven ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.
+ **Innovation in Education:** Demonstrated success in integrating technology for enhanced student outcomes.
+ **Integrity & Engagement:** Commitment to serving as a role model for MHS students and actively engaging with students beyond formal job duties.
