    Program Summary

    KBR's Army PBL program is a comprehensive logistics initiative aimed at enhancing the operational readiness of the U.S. Army while minimizing total ownership costs. Through a performance-based approach, KBR provides maintenance, supply chain management, technical support, training, and documentation services. This includes preventive and corrective maintenance, efficient supply chain operations, and expert technical assistance. By leveraging advanced analytics and monitoring tools, KBR ensures proactive maintenance and optimization of equipment performance. The program's focus on tailored support enhances the reliability, availability, and effectiveness of Army equipment, ultimately contributing to mission success and military readiness.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Associate Aerospace Engineer for the KBR location at the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) facility in Anniston, AL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for areas of KBR responsibility within the overhaul operations conducted at the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) on the AGT1500 turbine engine.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Work “hands on” in a shop environment on engines and components, performing a variety of complicated tasks with minimal supervision.

    + Lead and/or support root cause investigations.

    + Document results and conclusions and incorporate findings into formal specifications and instructions.

    + Participate in establishing operating procedures or best-known methods.

    + Recommend and implement innovative solutions based on proven best practices.

    + Provide technical consultation to others and contribute to technical project teams.

    + Interface effectively with the Honeywell-Phoenix Engineering team and ANAD personnel.

    Basic Qualifications

    + 3+ years of aerospace engineering experience, preferably with turbine engine background.

    + Must have a valid social security card, driver’s license, and birth certificate.

    + Must be able to obtain and maintain base access and/or security clearance.

    + Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline from an ABET University.

    + US citizenship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with troubleshooting aerospace operating and production systems, such as lube pumps, fuel controls, component test stands, and turbine engine test cells.

    + Experience with instrumentation and controls relating aerospace test facilities and turbine engine controls evaluation.

    + Experience with AGT1500 turbine engine.
