Storeroom Technician (Salary: $26.64 per hour) Job

Summary:

Performs daily storeroom duties and general site maintenance activities.

Job Duties:

• Perform physical inventory of parts and supplies

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts

• Locate and issue parts and supplies to maintenance and production

• Conduct restocking of bins for goods receipt

• Process and file paper work according to documented processes

• Facilitate company strategies for MRO management

• Facilitate daily restock, retrieval, and disbursements of storeroom items

• Facilitate daily dispatch and repair of MRO items

• Performs mowing, spraying for weeds, painting and snow plowing

• Maintain positive communication with customers, suppliers, contractors, and employees

• Perform area housekeeping duties

• Assist qualified mechanics on tasks that need support

• Assist and backup the maintenance planner/scheduler when off site

• Supports BBS process by performing observations

• Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.

• Must be available to work a flexible 8 hour work schedule based on plant snow plowing and mowing needs.

Qualifiications:

• HS Diploma and minimum 2 years of experience in industry

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components and nomenclature

• SAP MRP knowledge preferred

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong problem solving and organizational skills

• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; both to lift and carry, climb ladders and wear a respirator
