What You’ll Be Doing
As a **Fiduciary Tax Specialist** , you’ll play a key role in supporting the Tax Director and team with daily tax reporting and operational activities. You’ll help ensure that CIBC fulfills its fiduciary responsibilities as trustee and co-trustee of both revocable and irrevocable trusts. From managing tax payments and filings to reviewing returns and working with tax vendors, your work will be essential to the accurate and timely delivery of trust-related tax obligations.

How You’ll Succeed
+ **Support tax operations:** Assist with daily trust tax activities and filings.
+ **Manage payments:** Process IRA/NRA withholding, estimated payments, and tax filings with the IRS and other authorities.
+ **Review and coordinate:** Validate vendor-prepared tax documents and collaborate with internal and external partners.
+ **Communicate clearly:** Serve as a point of contact for tax-related questions across CIBC teams and with outside agencies.
+ **Stay organized:** Manage travel logistics, expense reports, and assist in training less experienced staff.
Who You Are
+ **Educational background:** Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA, EA, JD, or master’s degree preferred.
+ **Experienced:** 2–5 years in tax, trust, or financial services roles.
+ **Detail-focused:** Strong attention to accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
+ **Tech-savvy:** Proficient with Microsoft Office, EFTPS, and systems like SEI SWP or OneSource Trust Tax Insight.
+ **Team-oriented:** Strong communicator and collaborative in your approach to work.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $75,000 - $88,000 for the Boston, MA market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
