Description:
$7500 sign on bonus for external candidates
This individual is responsible for operating mammography equipment to obtain images according to physician and ACR specifications.
Position Purpose
+ Positions patients and adjusts mammography equipment to correct setting for each examination. Assists physicians in carrying out examinations and consultations.

+ The candidate for this critical role also uses critical thinking skills to resolve complex procedural situations & ability to handle emergency high stress situations during high-risk procedures.
+ Assists in sterile procedures, and the like. Performs general clerical duties such as report filing and distribution, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages, photocopying materials, and the like.

Minimum Qualifications
+ **Education:** Associate's degree program in Radiologic Technology
+ **Licensure** : Massachusetts Radiology license.
+ **Certification** : A.R.R.T. registration in Mammography within a year of hire.
+ **Experience:** Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program in Radiologic Technology and 40 contact hours of mammography training and 25 mammography examinations under a qualified instructor plus three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.
