Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Missile Modeling Systems Engineer to join a classified program to support Missile Tracking and Prediction. The position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever SFB. This group is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products. The position will interact with onsite government personnel to define requirements and models, export documentation, and support verification and validation. This team serves as missile threats specialists and threats model developers, to verify and validate threat representations across the kinematic, RF, and IR signatures domains for missile defense systems. This Systems Engineering specialized position requires a detail-oriented mid-level engineer responsible for capturing and documenting requirements. Must have a good understanding of modeling and simulation methods and processes. The Threat Systems Engineer will be involved in direct discussions and collaborations with our customers, threat stakeholders, intelligence analysts, and fellow engineers in order to best capture the requirements for developing and delivering accurate and relevant threat models.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 2-9+ years of relevant experience

Systems Engineering background and experience with requirements traceability, Verification & Validation and documentation

Experience with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and CAMEO tool Experience with python scripting

Strong knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and performance of missiles

Experience leading a transition to Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies /framework

Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban

Modeling, Simulation, and automation experience

Familiarity with flight characteristics, motion, and performance of missile systems (or similar flight dynamics)

Familiarity in the domain of RFC, RF, or IR signature modeling practices

Strong math, physics, or engineering background

Strong background with missile system models, atmospheric dynamics, and performance null
