    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Automation Controls Engineer to work on site in La Vergne, Tennessee for a global fortune 500 technology manufacturing & design company that is building cloud computing technologies for the world's largest search engine, online retailer and social media companies and working in the computer and electronics manufacturing industry. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day sustainment and maintenance of machines and equipment within our manufacturing plant. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing control systems, including those integrated with robotics, to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robotic controllers, to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

     

    System Optimization: Analyze and optimize control systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance of manufacturing equipment and robotic systems.

     

    Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of control systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, software configurations, and robotic programming.

     

    Upgrades and Modifications: Implement upgrades and modifications to control systems and robotic systems to enhance functionality and support new manufacturing processes.

     

    Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues, and to support continuous improvement initiatives.

     

    Compliance: Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

     

    Training: Provide training and support to maintenance and production staff on control system operations, robotic systems, and troubleshooting.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.

     

    Experience: 2 +years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment with automated processes and robotics.

     

    Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, SCADA systems, and robotic programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB). Knowledge of electrical schematics, control system design, and robotic integration. null
