The Director of Supply Planning & Reporting is a critical leadership role within the Supply Chain operations of Regeneron’s pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for maximizing supply chain efficiency and effectiveness to support a rapidly growing production operation. This position focuses on end-to-end supply chain risk management, inventory forecasting, and ensuring alignment with sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. The Director also plays a key role in the successful introduction of new products into the supply chain while adhering to industry-specific regulatory and compliance standards.
As a Director of Supply Planning & Reporting, a typical day might include the following:
+ Provides direction for Supply Chain Planning & Reporting teams .
+ Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, regulatory standards, and risk mitigation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Clinical, and other departments, to integrate S&OP processes that drive alignment between demand planning and supply chain execution.
+ Facilitate regular S&OP meetings to ensure alignment between demand forecasts, production schedules, and supply chain capabilities.
+ Work closely with Commercial and Clinical teams to align supply chain strategies with product development timelines and market demand forecasts.
+ Establish and maintain accurate inventory forecasting models to ensure optimal stock levels for commercial, clinical, and new product pipelines.
+ Ensure disciplined planning of materials and resources to meet program development requirements, consistently achieving customer order fulfillment and production goals.
+ Lead supply chain planning efforts for new product launches, ensuring readiness across CMC, manufacturing, and distribution.
+ Develop and publish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain plans and processes, including metrics for inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and risk mitigation outcomes.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize planning processes, leveraging advanced analytics, and implementing innovative solutions.
+ Lead the development of robust supply chain risk management practices to proactively address potential disruptions in material availability, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
+ Provide coaching, mentorship, and development plans for direct reports to foster a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and respected.
This role may be for you if you have:
+ Extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chain management, including planning, reporting, and risk mitigation.
+ Proven expertise in inventory forecasting, S&OP processes, and new product introduction strategies.
+ Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills, with comfortability presenting in front of Executive Leadership.
+ Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, such as Kinaxis Maestro with an aptitude for creating and interpreting performance metrics.
+ Knowledge of industry standards, trends, and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Science background and
+ Associate Director: 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, including prior management experience
+ Director: 12 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, including prior management experience
+ MS or MBA preferred but may consider experience in lieu of education; level decided upon completion of an interview process
+ APICS, ISM or ASQ professional certification strongly preferred, CPIM, CSCP, CPSM or CSSBB.
+ Prior cGMP regulated experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry a plus.
