Join the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine as a Program Coordinator II! In this role, you will provide advanced professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs and activities, utilizing maximum campus and community resources and opportunities for the Student Affairs Office in the School of Engineering Medicine .
Opportunities to Contribute
+ Program Support: Maintains student information database; primary liaison between incoming students during matriculation process; oversees M1/M2 Buddy Program; administrative support for Director of Wellness; administrative support for M4 HEAL Capstone. Coordinates wellbeing initiatives; Manages attestation forms; generates unofficial transcripts though HOWDY. Creates grade graphs for MSPEs; upload MSPE’s into ERAS. Manage graduation clearances; creates and manages class rank letters. Interprets and develops university/departmental rules and procedures. I nitiates, develops, and sustains strong positive relations with departmental leadership to ensure achievement of the mission and goals of the university/department. Attends and participates in staff meetings, professional development seminars and other student support related meetings. Conducts research for program planning. Assists students in their individual growth through observation, feedback, and the application of student development theory. Serves as a role model, mentor, and source of support for a highly competitive academic program. Plans and executes activities to foster campus commun ity.
+ Operational Support: Prepares, organizes, updates, and maintains program records, files, manuals and or documentation. Assists in analyzing and summarizing programmatic data for review and assessment purposes. Creates original correspondence, reports, presentations, documents, and program materials. Provides basic program information to students, faculty, staff, and public. Monitors compliance with university/departmental policies and procedures; may assist in preparing budgets and fund allocation planning.
+ Event Support: Responsible for planning and executing major events for the School of Engineering Medicine. Events include, but are not limited to, New Student Orientation, Medical School White Coat ceremony, HEAL Capstone, Match Day ceremony, and Commencement ceremony.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
+ Four years of program coordination, program development, or closely related experience
The well-qualified candidate will also possess
+ Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or closely related field
+ Four or more years' experience in planning and implementing student development programs and activities
+ Experience with academic advising
+ Experience coordinating a tutoring program
+ Professional experience in higher education or medical setting
+ Demonstrated leadership experience
+ Knowledge of TAMUS policies and procedures
+ Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
