    We are seeking a Production/Quality Engineer to support production and quality management of Project Manager (PM) Tactical Radios (TR) programs. This position is in direct support of the Army’s TR program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

     

    A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    + Responsible for overseeing production Army contracts, including analyzing production methods, assessing manufacturing readiness, troubleshooting issues, proposing improved efficiencies, and ensuring contractual quality standards are met.

    + Applying the tenants of quality management systems (QMS) standards, including ISO9001 and AS9100, through the start and life of production and sustainment contracts.

    + Working closely with contracting, logistics, maintenance, and training to identify and address quality issues.

    + Developing and maintaining PM TR Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) efforts, analyzing top failure modes and relative root causes.

    + Performing data analysis as required to identify trends, diagnose problems, recommend corrective actions, and inform decision-making to maintain operational readiness and soldier safety.

    + Providing premier support to, and representation of, PM TR in various meetings, working groups, discussions, tests, and field events as needed.

    + Providing lifecycle systems engineering support to the acquisition process including requirements decomposition, technical planning, specification preparation, technical analyses, risk management, decision support, and acquisition milestones.

    + Oversight of assigned program(s)/system(s) to assist with technical issues related to the technical cost, schedule and performance.

    + Leveraging knowledge of radio and COMSEC equipment as well as other commercially available assets to make appropriate assessments on recommended solutions.

    Required Experience:

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science preferable.

    + Minimum one (1) year related experience including acquisition, quality control, data collection, and analyzing engineering/scientific data for use in program/project improvements, systems integration, and/or troubleshooting.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to lead government technical reviews, provide briefings to high-level government personnel, and think critically to deliver desired results with minimal guidance.

    + Very strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross- functional team leadership and coordination

    + Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects

    + Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    + Travel: possibly up to 25%

    In compliance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $45,000.00 to $60,000.00; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
