    Senior Design Engineer

    **Location:** Nacogdoches, TX

    **Type:** Full-time | On-site

     

    We are seeking a **Senior Design Engineer** to join our high-performing team focused on developing advanced **elastomeric and PTFE sealing solutions** for demanding applications across aerospace, automotive, industrial, energy, military, and consumer markets. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on, full-lifecycle environment—from concept and simulation to testing, refinement, and customer launch.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design and development of custom rotary seals based on customer specifications and performance requirements

    + Use scientific modeling and analysis to evaluate design alternatives and predict performance outcomes

    + Develop and validate test plans, interpret results, and drive iterative improvements

    + Apply GD&T, DFM/DFA, and other best practices to ensure manufacturability and long-term performance

    + Own root cause analysis and drive corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams

    + Prepare detailed documentation: specifications, test reports, proposals, and internal design reviews

    + Collaborate directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to support project objectives

    + Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across design and manufacturing

    + Stay current on industry trends, tools, and materials to influence future product direction

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (Master’s preferred)

    + 7–9 years of experience in mechanical product design, preferably with sealing systems or rotating equipment

    + Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred); experience with FEA or CFD tools is a plus

    + Solid knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerancing (GD&T), and assembly relationships

    + Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and VA/VE

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing interactions

    + Demonstrated project ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
