**Our client** , a leading technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare, is seeking a **Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern** to join their team. You will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a student pursuing a Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering degree, at least in their sophomore year of college/university. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and analytical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern

**Location:** Grand Prairie, TX

**Pay Range:** $27/hour

**Shift:** 8:00 am – 5:00 pm / Part-time: 30 hours onsite per week

**Duration:** 10-week summer internship

What’s the Job?

+ Conduct time and motion studies to understand current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

+ Assist in line balancing to optimize labor distribution across key areas of manufacturing.

+ Support the development and implementation of standard work procedures.

+ Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.

+ Assist in designing and creating fixtures or devices to enhance workflow efficiency.

+ Document findings and present actionable ideas for improvement to leadership.

What’s Needed?

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (Sophomore year minimum).

+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (Green Belt certification ​​​).

+ Familiarity with time studies and line balancing concepts.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, self-sufficient use).

+ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
