Now Hiring: Overnight Security Officer (Part-Time) – Smithfield Foods Facility (Omaha, NE)

Allied Universal is seeking a **Part-Time Overnight Security Officer** for the **Smithfield Foods plant** , located at **2223 Industrial Rd, Omaha, NE** . This role is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and prior access control experience.

Position Details:

+ **Pay Rate:** $18.00 per hour

+ **Employment Type:** Part-Time

+ **Shift:** Overnight, **11:00 PM – 7:00 AM**

+ **Workdays:** Wednesday and Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

+ Monitor and control access to the facility during overnight hours

+ Perform badge checks and verify all entrants meet clearance requirements

+ Monitor alarm panels and respond to any security alerts or incidents

+ Conduct perimeter patrols and ensure all doors and gates are secured

+ Maintain accurate logs and reports of activity during shift

Requirements:

+ **Must be 21 years of age or older**

+ **Valid Driver’s License** that meets AU driver policy requirements

+ Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods

+ Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

Preferred Experience:

+ Access control and badge system use

+ Alarm panel monitoring and response

+ Previous security or safety-related experience

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
