Description
We are looking for an experienced part-time HR Generalist to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to manage and streamline HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining accurate records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, compliance, and benefits.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations, including FMLA and other compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with management to address employee relations issues and foster a positive workplace environment.
• Coordinate benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education.
• Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate time tracking and data entry into HR systems.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals.
• Conduct periodic audits of HR files and practices to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to support employee development and compliance awareness.
Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance, including FMLA and other employment regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
