Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Team Lead to oversee and optimize the organization's billing operations while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of PeopleSoft billing and contracts modules, analytical expertise, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments. As a Long-term Contract position based in Chicago, Illinois, this role offers the opportunity to lead critical billing functions and contribute to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee billing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contractual agreements.

• Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and implement solutions to address errors.

• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to support team members in adopting new billing procedures.

• Partner with shared services teams to improve efficiency and achieve billing deadlines.

• Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve billing inquiries and client escalations.

• Generate detailed reports and insights on billing performance and revenue trends to inform management decisions.

• Identify opportunities for streamlining manual workflows and implementing system-based billing enhancements.

• Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and resolution of invoicing issues.

• Verify billing accuracy and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing roles with expertise in PeopleSoft billing and contracts modules.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, and High Radius for reporting and automation.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to liaise across departments effectively.

• Experience with electronic invoice submission platforms.

• Knowledge of ERP systems, billing functions, and collection processes.
