Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Williamsville, New York, as part of a long-term contract role. This position focuses on medical billing, claims, and collections, requiring a strong understanding of healthcare systems and accounting software. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in managing accounts receivable, processing authorizations, and handling appeals with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Handle claims submissions and follow-ups to secure timely reimbursements.

• Manage collections efforts, including resolving discrepancies and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

• Utilize accounting software systems to track billing and payment processes efficiently.

• Work with EHR systems to ensure accurate patient data and billing information.

• Address appeals and denials by investigating issues and implementing corrective actions.

• Coordinate benefit and authorization functions to ensure coverage and minimize delays.

• Monitor accounts receivable to maintain financial accuracy and reduce outstanding balances.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and payers to resolve billing issues.

• Maintain detailed documentation of all billing and collection activities. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing, claims, and collections within a healthcare setting.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies.

• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and EHR systems.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and appeals handling.

• Ability to manage benefit and authorization functions effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills for resolving billing issues and coordinating with stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
