Description

Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is partnering with a manufacturing company in Idaho Falls to find an experienced Cost Analyst to join their team on-site. In this role, you'll play a key part in evaluating standard vs. actual costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. Your work will directly influence pricing strategies, operational planning, and overall financial performance. This is a high-impact position for someone who excels at turning data into clear, actionable insight.

What You’ll Be Doing:

+ Analyze cost data and provide variance analysis between standard and actual costs

+ Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and KPI dashboards

+ Assist in developing and maintaining budgets and financial models

+ Collaborate with procurement and operations to monitor cost drivers and identify savings opportunities

+ Recommend process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

+ 3+ years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing setting

+ Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Syteline or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

+ Effective communicator comfortable working across departments

+ Understanding of GAAP and financial compliance standards
