Description We are looking for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail to join our team as an Audit Staff in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on auditing and bookkeeping tasks, primarily serving nonprofit organizations. This position is ideal for recent graduates seeking to build a career in public accounting while gaining hands-on experience and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Perform audit procedures, including planning, fieldwork, and documentation, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Handle bookkeeping tasks for clients using both QuickBooks Online and Desktop platforms.

• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger entries.

• Ensure proper recording of financial transactions in accordance with established accounting principles.

• Develop and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation for audits.

• Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide timely updates.

• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve client goals.

• Support the firm’s mission by delivering high-quality services to nonprofit clients.

• Stay updated on industry trends and accounting best practices to enhance performance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop is essential.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently within structured deadlines.

• Strong communication and analytical abilities.

• Interest in pursuing CPA licensure is preferred.
