Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Full Time Engagement Team in the east bay. Manage the full-cycle AR process, from processing credit applications to reconciling accounts and managing collections. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely payments, resolving disputes, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with company policies.*

Key Responsibilities:
+ Process incoming credit applications and enter data into internal and third-party finance systems
+ Post incoming payments and funding from finance companies using desktop deposit
+ Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, proactively contacting clients to resolve issues and request payment
+ Review AR reports monthly; write off balances to bad debt or closed layaway accounts
+ Investigate and resolve credit card and finance disputes
+ Issue refunds and credits, making adjustments to customer accounts as needed
+ Reconcile AR accounts and prepare/distribute aging and collection reports
+ Maintain detailed documentation on all accounts and collection activities
+ Research account issues and respond to internal and external inquiries
+ Prepare monthly reports for finance companies and credit card chargebacks
+ Review “No Tax” invoices to ensure compliance and accuracy
+ Ensure all AR practices align with internal policies and procedures
+ Escalate accounts requiring collections to the Accounting Manager
Requirements
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in receivable/accounts payable
• Strong analytical skills in basic accounts payable and accounting policy
• Detail oriented, accurate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills and experience with 2 or more accounting ERP systems. IE: Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, Etc.
Role requires flexibility in commute in Tri-Valley
