Description We are looking for a highly skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations by ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of incoming payments. The ideal candidate will excel in handling accounts receivable tasks, utilizing Oracle, and leveraging advanced Excel skills to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments from multiple sources such as wire transfers, credit cards, and checks, ensuring they are accurately applied to customer accounts.

• Investigate and resolve unapplied payments while reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Record and reconcile daily transactions in Oracle, maintaining accuracy across all postings.

• Collaborate with accounting and collections teams to address deductions, discrepancies, and customer account adjustments.

• Prepare and analyze detailed reports using Microsoft Excel to track cash application performance and support month-end closing activities.

• Maintain organized and accurate documentation of cash application processes and transactions to meet audit requirements.

• Identify opportunities for improving workflows and assist in implementing system enhancements to streamline operations.

• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues and outstanding invoices. Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or cash application roles.

• Proficiency in using Oracle for financial operations and transaction management.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash application processes.

• Experience working with various payment methods such as ACH, wire transfers, and checks.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies efficiently.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with both internal teams and external customers.

• High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage documentation and ensure accuracy.
