Description We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to support the efficient management of property operations in Brooklyn, New York. This role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily functions. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a background in property administration.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily property administration tasks, including maintaining records, handling correspondence, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, for financial tracking and reporting.
• Prepare and update property-related documentation, such as insurance records and compliance files.
• Coordinate communication with tenants and vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Analyze financial data using Microsoft Excel to support budgeting and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook to manage schedules, communications, and documentation.
• Monitor and address property maintenance needs in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure compliance with property management policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
• Experience in property administration or a similar role.
• Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and general accounting functions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Knowledge of property insurance documentation and compliance requirements.
