Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Terrell, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing essential reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work within a manufacturing environment and contribute to critical financial processes. This is a 2-3 month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Terrell, TX 75161.

Senior Accountant (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update the general ledger by recording accurate financial transactions.

• Reconcile bank statements with company records to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

• Create and post journal entries to document accounting transactions.

• Handle state sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions.

• Provide documentation and support during external audits to facilitate compliance.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions across multiple locations.

• Assist with setting up clients, accounts, and relevant financial administration tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.

• Familiarity with multi-state accounting practices is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
