Description

We are looking for a Part time detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will handle refund processing, account reconciliation, and ensure accurate record-keeping for financial transactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting functions within the dynamic restaurants and catering industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer refund requests promptly and with precision.

• Reconcile refund transactions while ensuring proper account coding.

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Customer Service and Sales, to address refund-related inquiries.

• Maintain thorough and accurate records of refund activities for audits and reporting.

• Uphold compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures.

• Participate in month-end closing activities focused on refund transactions.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues when necessary.

• Provide support for additional administrative or accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting roles.

• Strong ability to reconcile accounts and process refunds accurately.

• Proficiency in billing and cash application procedures.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

• High attention to detail, especially in data entry tasks.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.

• Familiarity with accounting practices and compliance standards.
