• Senior Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Annapolis, MD)


    Description

We’re seeking a senior accounting professional to contribute to the financial success of our client's company by managing, analyzing, and improving key accounting and financial processes.

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and maintain project budgets and revenue forecasts.

    + Record and review journal entries for monthly income statements and balance sheets.

    + Perform account reconciliations and resolve issues with Senior Manager.

    + Review work prepared by staff accountants for accuracy.

    + Identify and resolve accounting issues based on GAAP principles.

    + Conduct quarterly control testing and assist with audits.

    + Manage corporate credit cards and expense reports.

    + Develop ad-hoc financial analyses in Excel.

    + Document internal processes and workflows.

    + Post journal entries in NetSuite and reconcile balance sheets.

    + Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports.

    + Prepare expense accruals and reconcile intercompany accounts.

    + Ensure accurate revenue and expense reporting.

    + Analyze financial statements and provide supporting reports.

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting a plus).

    + Proficiency with GAAP principles and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite).

    + BS in Accounting or a related field

    + Excellent communication skills
