Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant II to join our client's team in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the accounting operations for multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with both domestic and international teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate journal entries and ensure timely completion of monthly financial close processes.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure proper valuation and reporting.

• Collaborate with the accounts receivable manager to manage cash operations effectively.

• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure accurate recording across multiple entities.

• Support the financial reporting process by ensuring balance sheet integrity and compliance.

• Manage accounting functions for 2-3 entities, ensuring all financial operations are aligned with company policies.

• Communicate effectively with overseas partners to address accounting queries and ensure alignment.

• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.

Requirements • Proficiency in bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and related processes.

• Experience in preparing journal entries and managing month-end close activities.

• Familiarity with inventory accounting and intercompany transactions.

• Solid understanding of balance sheet management and cash operations.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, including international partners.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple entities and prioritize tasks effectively.
