Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a legal firm in Norfolk, Virginia. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to manage financial operations and support administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in bookkeeping, data management, and financial software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with accuracy.

• Perform debit and credit tracking to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

• Prepare and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.

• Generate ad-hoc financial reports and provide insights as required.

• Handle data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial documentation.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently.

• Support administrative duties and assist with other bookkeeping-related responsibilities as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field, requiring a detail-oriented approach.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.

• Experience in performing month-end close processes.

• Ability to handle data entry with a high level of accuracy.

• Familiarity with bank reconciliation practices.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
