Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data architectures that deliver business value and align with strategic objectives. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive data solution delivery, ensure quality standards, and maintain data security and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
+ Translate high-level business requirements into detailed data models, test data, metadata, and quality standards.
+ Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure strong alignment with long-term strategic roadmaps.
+ Lead the peer review and quality assurance of architectural artifacts while defining and enforcing standards, guidelines, and processes.
+ Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and data analytics groups to develop solutions that address business needs.
+ Evaluate and recommend new data management technologies and trends.
+ Develop and implement governance frameworks with internal teams and vendor partners to uphold the effectiveness of architecture services.
+ Understand and apply data security, confidentiality, and compliance principles, including designing solutions for data protection across databases, APIs, and consumption layers.
+ Enhance data pipeline performance for improved orchestration, governance, and business insights.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ A minimum of 10 years of experience designing and implementing data models for enterprise data warehouse initiatives using tools like Erwin.
+ Experience leading cloud data lakes, data warehousing, and modern data architectures.
+ Proficiency with modern data architectures and tools such as AWS, Kinesis, Kafka, Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks.
+ Knowledge of multiple database platforms, including DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and MongoDB.
+ Strong understanding of entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, data security protocols, and data quality techniques.
+ Experience with relational and big-data architecture design principles tailored to business requirements.
+ Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Informatica, Power BI, and Tableau.
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams and guiding solutions to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Expertise in both traditional and modern data pipeline and storage technologies.
+ Prior experience with data protection strategies at the database, table, and API levels.
+ Proven ability to design solutions that balance business needs with security and compliance requirements.
