Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will handle critical billing processes to ensure smooth financial operations within a healthcare setting. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an opportunity to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage billing functions, including submitting claims, handling appeals, and addressing denials.

• Utilize accounting software systems to ensure accurate processing of invoices and payments.

• Process accounts receivable tasks, including collections and reconciliation.

• Maintain and update patient billing records using Medisoft and EHR systems.

• Conduct claim administration by verifying insurance eligibility and resolving discrepancies.

• Use Epic software to monitor and manage billing workflows.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve complex billing issues.

• Generate and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including IBM AS/400 and Medisoft.

• Experience with EHR systems and Epic software.

• Strong knowledge of billing functions, appeals, and claim administration processes.

• Expertise in accounts receivable and collection workflows.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
