Description

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Installation and Maintenance:

+ Assemble, install, and upgrade computer systems and peripherals, such as printers or monitors.

+ Diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions.

Software Support:

+ Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

+ Perform basic troubleshooting of system errors and crashes.

Troubleshooting Technical Issues:

+ Respond to help desk tickets and assist users with hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

+ Identify and resolve performance issues in PCs and laptops.

System Testing and Documentation:

+ Run diagnostic programs to resolve hardware or software defects.

+ Document support activities and generate reports about recurring issues for review by senior IT staff.

Security Awareness:

+ Participate in routine software and security updates to ensure data protection.

+ Report any potential security vulnerabilities to IT supervisors.

Requirements

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, or troubleshooting utilities.

+ Completed or in-progress certifications, like CompTIA A+ or equivalent.

+ Basic knowledge of IT security practices is a plus, particularly adherence to safe technology use.

+ Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and techniques on the job.
