As a Dental Hygienist at PortagePointe, you will perform basic dental tasks for our elders to help keep their teeth and gums clean on admission, yearly, and as needed. Our team at PortagePointe takes pride being an Eden Alternative designated home by assisting Elders and coworkers with a friendly, caring and helpful spirit. This position will be responsible to incorporate the Eden Philosophy of living into every action throughout employment with us.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene required

Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Michigan required

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external

Position Details:

0.2 FTE (Limited part-time, approximately 8 hours per month)

Completely flexible schedule. Can work day or afternoon shift, weekdays or weekends.
