Summary You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Pilot Training Center of COMMANDER, JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER WING. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will develop and implement procedures and policies that ensure a successful program and explain policy and regulatory material. You will assess contractor compliance with pilot training requirements, document discrepancies and ensure corrective action is taken. You will review technical documentation, ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement/Statement of Work/Statement of Objectives. You will participate in conferences, meetings, and planning sessions to analyze requirements. You will assist contracting officers with the evaluation and acceptance of contractor-submitted Quality Control Plans. You will identify and prevent unethical conduct and instances of fraud, waste, or abuse. You will manage contractor compliance concerning standards, procedures, and emergency action plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing a quality assurance program by evaluating the operational readiness, reliability and performance of assigned technical equipment and systems to ensure the assigned training devices adequately support the life of an aircraft.
