    This position of for aProcessor Architectin Skyworks San Jose Design Center. You will be joining a team of Systems, Processing and Processor architects working on a wide varity of MCU and DSP processing systems. Your job function will be working on expanding and upgrading Skyworks RISCV processor, security systems, processor validation and FPGA emulation.

    Responsibilities

    Architecting and implementing Processing Systems in collaboration with hardware and firmware teams.

     

    Architecting and implementing processor cores. Optimize and extend existing Skyworks Processor cores with an eye for performance, power and area.

     

    Provide guidance for implementation of secure processing systems.

     

    Provide guidance for validation of Processing Systems, Processor Cores and Secure implementations.

     

    Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices for FW/HW development.

     

    Required Experience and Skills

     

    Master’s degree + 8 years of experience or Ph.D + 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related fields.

     

    5-10 years of experience in MCU and DSP core development.

     

    Proficiency with RISCV and RISCV core implementation and validation.

     

    Proficiency in C and assembly language. Experience with Python or scripting languages is a plus.

     

    Desired Experience and Skills

     

    Experience in security and cryptographic accelerators.

     

    Experience in FPGA proto-typing of ASICs.

     

    Ability to work with different version control systems like GIT, GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.

     

    Experience with unit testing, system testing and integration testing. Ability to isolate issues in a system test environment.

     

    The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $126,500 - $241,700 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
