About the Job BILT is hiring a Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable server-side systems for our mobile app, ensuring performance and security for government contracts. Due to the requirements of our government contract, this position requires U.S. citizenship. Qualifications · Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices. · Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity. · Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms. · Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers for seamless integration. · Troubleshoot and resolve backend performance issues. · Ensure compliance with government security and data standards. · Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. · 5+ years of backend development experience in SaaS or mobile environments. · Experience with government contracts and secure API development. · Strong knowledge of database design and optimization. · Problem-solving and teamwork skills. · U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract stipulations. Technical Skills Languages: Java Databases: SQL and NoSQL databases Frameworks: Spring Boot Tools: Docker, Git, Jenkins Certifications: AWS Developer Associate (preferred) Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, email, and various communication programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.) This role is based in Grapevine Texas.
