The Specialist, Process Optimization plays a key role in turning data into action. This role supports the optimization of core operational applications by analyzing performance trends, documenting frontline behaviors, and supporting structured improvement initiatives. The role is best suited for someone who thrives on digging into operational performance issues and influencing positive behavioral and process change.
We Care:
+ Engage with frontline staff and leaders to understand operational challenges firsthand
+ Document what’s working and what’s not with empathy and objectivity
+ Help regions improve outcomes by listening deeply and advising respectfully
We Collaborate:
+ Work with Operations, Deployment, and Training to ensure your findings are actionable and well-integrated
+ Partner with System Settings to distinguish behavior vs configuration issues
+ Share insights across the entire Program Management Office (PMO) team to close recurring performance gaps
We Do the Right Thing:
+ Leverage performance metrics (schedule vs actual, deadhead, and trip completion) to support operations with improving process performance
+ Use evidence—not assumptions—to assess challenges and guide decisions
+ Document findings clearly and propose practical solutions, not just abstract ideas
We Have Fun:
+ Celebrate wins—big and small—when a region reduces missed trips or improves routing efficiency
+ Be the go-to person for “what’s really happening” on the ground
+ Make continuous improvement approachable and fun through quick wins and field-friendly tools
And We Take Initiative:
+ Own improvement projects and see them through from analysis to implementation
+ Build dashboards, visuals, or guides that help others succeed faster
+ Constantly look for new patterns in performance data and raise ideas others haven’t yet noticed
+ Stay curious, persistent, and committed to making the implementation of processes/technologies more impactful for every user
Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of experience in operations, analytics, or process improvement
+ Working knowledge of performance metrics in student transportation or logistics
+ Strong Excel, reporting, and documentation skills
+ Able to work independently on assessments and as a collaborative partner in solutioning sessions
+ Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and/or TQM)
Salary:
+ $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
